Hike Lake Shawnee Trail, visit Ted Ensley Gardens, enjoy the 70-par golf course and play at Adventure Cove floating playground. Open year round!
  • Kansas Statehouse in Topeka. Take the dome tour, with 296 steps to the top and an outdoor balcony, for a spectacular view. Check out the State Library and historical murals. View frescos painted near the top of the rotunda by Jerome Fedeli in 1898. Bring your camera!
  • Old Prairie Town. Located on the Oregon Trail in Topeka is a 6-acre historic site that includes the Ward-Meade Botanical Garden and 1800 era replicas of a schoolhouse, church, general store, train station, and more. This attraction, listed on the National Register of Historic Places is a must see.
